The Under Secretary of State for the Colonies,

Colonial Office,

LONDON.

Sir.

I beg her with most respectfully to submit for your favour: ;able consideration my request to he reinstated in the position, which I formerly held, as a Maternity Nurse in the Government Civil Hospital Hong Kong and to bring before you the following particulars in syot of my application.

My husband, John Malwan, Overseer in the Public Works Depart: ment,Hong Kong, died there in 1912. I was left with two young children and received a Widow's and Orphans' Pension of 19/6d per week. As it was necessary for me to singlement this Pension, I became a Tem orary Maternity Nurse in the Government Civil Hospital, Hong Kong, and as sub served for two periods (1) From 15th May 1914 to 15th September 1914 and (2) From 21at August 1916 to 10th May 1919 and for which I hold Certificates.

herewith/

It is my desire, therefore, to return to Hong Kong, and I hag
